What it cost to build, read off the repository: commits, the number of distinct days somebody committed, the span from the first commit to the last. What the pipeline behind it looks like — the stack, the APIs, the ops lanes that keep it running. And what the numbers did.
Why the numbers are real
Every figure in an issue is read at the moment the issue is written, from the repository, the live site and the database, and stored beside the prose so a claim in an old issue can still be checked against what was true when it was made. Where a number has not been measured, the issue says so rather than estimating one. That is the whole difference between this and a newsletter about building things.
How often
Once a month. There is no weekly, no digest, no announcement mail, and nothing between issues. If you also asked one of the free tools to watch something for you, that runs on its own schedule and only writes to you when the result actually changes.
What we do with your address
It is used to send the teardown and nothing else. It is never sold, never shared, and never added to any other Kynth list.
